A baby was born
and abandoned.
A Family was
torn.
The church
could not
demand it
nor envision it.
It's hard
when a man
he sits
in prison.
Every night
he makes deep
incisions into
his body.
He screams
"You're Not Sorry"
at her lying body
He sheds no tears but
the ones from
his wrist
Because he
Killed his
wife with his
bare fist.
Sometimes
He thinks
about the
child but doesn't
know why his actions
were wild
Why did he
kill her?
what was his
reason?
because she
was pleasing
another man.
She was
married,
a mother
but now she is
buried at the
bottom of a
river.
People quiver at
As I sit with my fingers stiffened
People call out to me but I refuse to listen
I look at my hands
In light the blood glistens
It shines in the night
I look back up and I can not see the light
I wonder if I'm dead
Or maybe dreaming
I do not like the way things are seeming
This could not be a dream it was all too real
I wonder if I would live to eat another meal
I see people run away for me
Then I realize
The Moon is my only company
A baby was born
and abandoned.
A Family was
torn.
The church
